Chicago AF is a non-profit community of individuals who have a common desire to live life alcohol free.

Chicago AF’s platform is entirely volunteer led. Our purpose is to facilitate sober connection and redefine sobriety’s social scene in the Greater Chicago Area. We strongly advocate for increased alcohol addiction awareness and the normalization of living alcohol free. Our community is extremely active, diverse and intentionally inclusive of everyone. If you are sober or sober curious, we welcome you to Chicago AF.

Weekly Meetings

Every Monday at 7 PM CT, Chicago AF hosts a virtual sobriety support meeting on Zoom. Everyone is welcome. Invites come out weekly via our community e-mail. All meetings are conducted in a respectful and no pressure to share environment. Just come, listen and be a part of the community!

From brunches and ballgames to Chicago’s first ever No Booze Cruise and NA Day, we are lighting up the city’s sober social scene. We believe in connection, opportunities to socialize alcohol-free, and the normalization of sobriety. We welcome you with open arms wherever you are on your sobriety journey.

Is this community for individuals in active recovery or is anyone who doesn’t drink alcohol welcome?

Chicago AF exists to foster alcohol-free connection and redefine what it means to be sober and social in Chicago. All that’s required is a desire to get and stay sober, regardless of your “why.”

Are there any community rules or guidelines?

Yes. The only rules are a desire to not drink and an expectation to respect every individual within our community. We welcome everyone to Chicago AF and respect all paths to recovery/sobriety.

Can I also attend other recovery/sobriety support group meeting, such as a 12-step program, in addition to Chicago AF?

Of course! We encourage you to obtain as much support as you can. Our founder is an active member of a 12-step program and happy to chat with you anytime if you would like additional resources. Majority of our members seek other sobriety support.

Does this community cost anything to be a part of?

No! We don’t charge dues, although some of our events do have a cost associated with them depending on the activity.

How can I reach someone?
