Carrie Nicole May, Founder & Director, Chicago AF

Carrie N. May is a Nurse Practitioner, Certified Recovery Coach and Founder of both non-profit Chicago AF and Brave, LLC. As a sober girl in the burbs, Carrie dreamt of ‘more’ in her sobriety. More sober connections, more opportunities to socialize sober and more normalization of sobriety. During the pandemic, the evolution of virtual platforms allowed that dream to become a reality. Carrie is passionate about creating sober spaces, fostering sober connection and building intentionally diverse & inclusive community. To her core, Carrie is dedicated to helping others get and stay sober. Carrie champions the alcohol free movement by recovering out loud and mentoring others. Carrie is certified through the International Association of Professional Recovery Coaches and holds a specialty She Recovers Coaching Designation.

Kerry Tuttle, Assistant Director, Chicago AF

Kerry Tuttle serves as the Assistant Director for Chicago AF, working closely with Carrie to help run the non-profit’s operations and grow the sober community in Chicago. She is passionate about normalizing an alcohol-free lifestyle and showcasing the power of this growing movement through in-person events, social media, and press engagements. Kerry is the creator of Chicago AF’s NA DAY, the city’s first non-alcoholic beverage festival, and hopes to shine a light on Chicago as a leader in the nation’s growing sober scene. By day, Kerry works in technology PR and is vocal about changing drinking culture in corporate America.
